Even if a customer accidentally enters the Metropolitan Expressway or takes the wrong exit, The toll cannot be refunded.
*Please note that the Metropolitan Expressway is one-way only.
 Making U-turns or driving backwards are prohibited.

Your toll will be adjusted if you got back on the Metropolitan Expressway at the entrance we specified or the nearest entrance.

For customers using ETC
Please use the same ETC card that you used before entering the toll road to pass through the “ETC” lane, “ETC/一般” lane, or “ETC/サポート" lane. The on board ETC device will show you the toll fee before adjustment, it will be the adjusted later.

For customers paying by cash or ETC card
If you exit to the public road and use the “一般” lane, “ETC/一般” lane, ”サポート”（Support）“ lane, or ”ETC/サポート“ lane, please inform the toll booth staff that you deterred due to the road closure, you will not be charged again.

There are entrances to the Metropolitan Expressway without a toll gate, so toll gates are installed on the highway and at exits to collect tolls from drivers who use those entrances.
Drivers who paid their toll at the entrance do not need to pay another toll at these toll gates on highways and at exits. Please present the receipt you received at the first toll gate to the staff at the next toll gate.
You will only be able to pass through by presenting your receipt if you did not get off the Metropolitan Expressway. If you got off onto an ordinary road, or got on the Metropolitan Expressway via a highway managed by NEXCO, it will be considered a new starting fare, so please pay another toll.

If you pass through a toll gate of the Metropolitan Expressway without paying, and do not subsequently notify the Metropolitan Expressway of paying the toll, it will be dealt with as an unauthorized passage. In this case, you will be charged the toll in addition to an additional amount equal to twice the toll you did not pay. Moreover, drivers who violate the transit system we have established will be criminally charged (a fine of no more than 300 thousand JPY).

You must pay the distance-based toll even if your vehicle is towed.
In that case, the ETC on-board device may not work at the exit, and may be charged the maximum toll. We adjust the toll price after confirming usage.

You can use the credit cards listed below for toll payments (No signature required).

※In case of payment by credit card, please use the “ETC/cash shared lane ” or “cash lane ” (Toll gates（payment method）), and hand the credit card to the tollgate staff. However, in this case, the same fee as when using cash will be applied.

Receipts cannot be reissued.

The discount may or may not be applied.

1. Case in which the ETC discount is applied
If the driver was involuntarily unable to pay remotely with the ETC due to broken toll gate equipment, the discount will be applied as if they paid remotely by ETC. Please notify the staff at the toll gate.

2. Case in which the ETC discount is not applied
The ETC discount is for drivers paying remotely by ETC.
・ If you pay by handing over your ETC card because your vehicle is not equipped with an ETC on-board device
・ If you pay by handing over your ETC card for the purpose of receiving a reciept at the toll gate
In the above cases, none of ETC discount types are applied.

Please stop at the "cash" lane, remove your ETC card from the ETC on-board device, and hand it over to the toll gate staff. The same discount is applied as if you had passed through the ETC lane.
Insert your returned ETC card into the ETC on-board device on the spot, and start moving.
*If you are using the disability discount, please present your identification card together with the ETC card.
