June 13, 2024 - Metropolitan Expressway Company Limited (Shutoko, headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President: Nobuhiro Maeda) has established a subsidiary, Shutoko International (Thailand) in the Kingdom of Thailand to provide consulting services related to road and infrastructure development and maintenance.
1. Purpose of Establishment
Shutoko has a close and strong relationship with Thailand through the dispatch of experts and the conclusion of memorandums of understanding (MOU) with road-related organizations.
In recent years, there has been a growing demand in Thailand and neighboring countries (hereinafter referred to as “ASEAN Countries") for addressing challenges, such as the aging of road infrastructure, the advancement of road management and traffic operations, tunnel construction, and elevated bridge expansion, and in all of these areas, we believe that we can leverage our experience, expertise, and know-how of the Shutoko Group.
To meet these diverse needs, we have established a subsidiary to provide consulting services and other businesses in ASEAN Countries.
We aim to serve as a “bridge” between Japan and ASEAN Countries and provide support to solve various issues that infrastructure companies are facing to create better social infrastructures.
