Lights off at 5 Metropolitan Expressway bridges for 2 days during the summer solstice and Tanabata

- Taking part in the “CO2 Reduction / Lights-Off Campaign” -

The Metropolitan Expressway Company Limited (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshitaka Miyata) will turn of the lighting at 5 Metropolitan Expressway bridges (Rainbow Bridge, Yokohama Bay Bridge, Tsurumi Tsubasa Bridge, Katsushika Harp Bridge and Goshikizakura-ohashi Bridge) for 2 days on the summer solstice (June 21) and Cool Earth Day (July 7)

This initiative is carried out in support of the “CO2 Reduction / Lights-Off Campaign” promoted by the Ministry of the Environment, calling for lit-up facilities and households to switch off their lights for the purpose of stopping global warming.
We hope that the different night scenery will inspire people to think about what it means to live an environmentally friendly life.
